IAGO ASPAS: WHEN HIS FIRST GOAL TO COME?

His arrival along with his reputation in Celta Vigo excites many Liverpool fans. £8m price tag shouldn't be too much risk to bear with this signing. Excitement sparked from many Kopites believed how wise Rodgers have spent for Coutinho and Sturridge, and believes this signing also is another wise-buy too.

Aggresive, good speed, reminds me of Bellamy's last spell in Liverpool,  majority predicted Aspas to grab at least 11 goals in 2013/14 campaign (according to Bleacher Report survey). Pre-season matches showed how good this addition to the team, with 7 goals as the highest goalscorer in pre-season (without considering Sturridge's injury during most of pre-season tour). Even from myself think that Aspas is the pragmatic solution over third pitch threat for next season, and predicting he will become a lethal force attackers alongside with Sturridge and Suarez.

Now Aspas concerned to end his goal drought in competitive matches so far. Featured in first 4 matches of 2013/14 campaign, no sign of goal threatening from himself, except supporting attack behind Sturridge. Let's put behind his success in pre-season, considering all matches in pre-season tour, sorry no disrespect, are not real threat to Liverpool, except Celtic and Olympiakos. All these matches are not real test for this Spanish forward. Reality and real test from him started from opening match versus Stoke City, where my assessment indicates he's actually adapting, yet still not looked struggling against fast pace, more physical style English's style.

And the best evaluation to see his adaptation progress after played for 20 matches, then there are early prediction could be made for his potential. Honestly, I believe he will get his first goal in competitive match when Liverpool meet Southampton tomorrow. Either from ugly or flair touches.
